Phiyona Auyeung
Founding Partner and Director

Phiyona believes in creating distinctive quality and potential for each project she touched. She is seasoned with over 25 years of experience in architectural design in Hong Kong and Seattle. As former Director at DLN Architects Limited, she took a leading role and delivered a wide range of projects including luxurious residential towers, comprehensive commercial developments, landmark buildings in hospitality and public venue for performance art.
Many of them are award-winning and receiving high recognition from the industry. Her passion in design and professional skills have transformed to create a platform capturing opportunities and potential of real estates, building up a unique brand and portfolio of ARE.
Henry Lai
Founding Partner and Director

Henry is a registered practicing architect with over 30 years experience in the architectural design industry. Based in Hong Kong and UK, Henry has been actively involved in all areas of architectural design, project implementation and business development of architectural works. Over the decades, the works Henry involved from award winning residential houses to large scale residential developments, commercial, hospitality and master planning projects located throughout Hong Kong, Macau, China, Japan, South East Asia, Middle East and United Kingdom.
He has a clear and simple vision of ARE - asset enhancement with value creation through design. With his vast experience in architecture, Henry aims to bring his unparalleled sensitivity to projects of ARE.
Robert Pendleton
Founding Partner and Director

Robert believes that AREAssets should ensure that all we do should have a net positive contribution to the environment and society. He has been brought into the group as a Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer who has focused on viability and value creation. His green credentials included being a Chartered Environmentalist advising on adoption of green lease terms for commercial property and negotiations to enable more than minimised ecological mitigation to allow development to proceed.
Robert has significant team management experience in the UK and Asia having led and been part of teams related to project planning and implementation, property management, surveying and valuation. In 2008 he founded a professional services business primarily advising on property acquisition and sales, optimisation of non-fare box revenue to support infrastructure projects, development viability appraisals and the building up of property valuation and lease advisory teams. He adds breadth and depth to the property development experience of AREAssets based, inter alia, on his experience in providing expert witness evidence for a wide variety of property condition and valuation matters including when an Executive Director of Knight Frank and, previously, a Director of Chesterton Petty in Hong Kong.
Alfred Yeung

Alfred has more than 30 years of experience in real estate and project management and has overseen property development projects and investment portfolio globally in United Kingdom, Europe, North America, Australasia and Asia. Over the last decade, Alfred has built real estate networks across the globe and is experienced in land assembly, project incubation and feasibility, masterplanning, design, project finance, joint-venture partnership formation, project management, as well as sales, marketing and disposal.
Alfred is a chartered architect by profession, qualified at Liverpool J.M. University and received Master degree in Construction Management from Bath University. He has also received executive management training from Harvard Law School, Franklin Covey Leadership Programme and Richard Ivey Business School. Alfred is a member of Royal Institute of British Architects, Urban Lands Institute, Chartered Management Institute and Association for Project Management in UK.
Kenneth Yeung
Partner & Director

Kenneth has over 20 years of experience in audit, taxation, financial consulting, management and financial engineering across Europe and Asia. After working with one of the ‘Big 4’ accounting consultancies and also serving in industry in UK, Kenneth founded his own accounting business with presence both in UK and HK. He has also been serving as an Independent Non-Executive Director for many companies since 2015.
Kenneth holds Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Birmingham. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Chartered Institute of Taxation as well as the Association of Corporate Treasurers in UK.
AREASSETS is a Full Member of The Property Ombudsman (TPO) and commits to TPO Codes of Practice. The Ombudsman is able to consider complaints in relation to residential sales, lettings and buying services, commercial sales and lettings, international sales and lettings and chattels auctions.
